ASEAN Media Bloggers Tourism Hunt 2017 – Day 1

Hello dear friends!

Have you missed me? I was busy these past few months, but don’t worry, today I’ll be sharing with you my wonderful experience and stories I had in Malaysia.

To begin with, allow me to express my gratitude to Tourism Malaysia PH office, for inviting me to the ASEAN Media Bloggers Tourism Hunt 2017 representing the Philippines as social media influencer. It was my pleasure to accept your kind invite.

For everyone’s info, the last time I, together with my family, visited KL was in 2010. For some reason, there is something inexplicably thrilling to explore a strange new cities this time like Putrajaya and states like Selangor and Perak (Kuala Kangsar and Ipoh).

Here’s a little snippet of my AMBTH Wonderful Experience Day 1:

My official “just landed” photo. I arrived in KL 15 minutes earlier than the original time of arrival which is at 10:40 AM. Thank you Air Asia, our official airline partner for this event. However, I faced longer waits to be processed by the immigration. It took me an hour and a half to endure long queues. While I was patiently observing, I have noticed that all counters were open for service. I did not see any problem. Perhaps, the influx of travelers caused the line to stretch and that seems a good indication for their tourism industry.

At the arrival, I met the three other Philippine representatives namely, (L-R) Andrew Co of Trendhotspot, Abby Rebong of Philippine Star and Patrick Tadeo of Carmudi.

Then we headed to Malaysia Tourism Center (Matic) for lunch, program briefing and test drive.

I make friends easily. So here with me is Rozana Roslan, Marketing Manager of Tourism Malaysia (Singapore office) and Syarifah Emiwati Syed Ramzan, Assistant Director (South East Asia) Division Tourism Malaysia.

My first day in KL started as free and easy. We were checked in around 7PM and had buffet dinner at Pullman Hotel . I was looking for a chance to explore KL again on my own (this time) but since we arrived a bit late, there was no opportunity for me to do it.
