Do you still remember my 2018 mid- year fitness update?
Last year,I made a commitment to take on healthier habits. To be frank,it had a far-reaching pay-off: I feel better in everything I do now.
Thirty minutes of exercise (3x a week) is Curves magic numbers to lose weight and boost energy. Why? Because for me, I still have extra energy leftover after shorter workouts to be physically active throughout the day.
Exactly a year ago, I remember I workout with a short-term goal in mind. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds. But Curves coaches are so realistic and nice. They wanted only half of it. We broke it up into mini goals and got small wins along the way to lessen the psychological toll of such task.
Numbers don’t lie, with the help of my Curves family, I lost 12 pounds on my 9th month (September) of training. To date, I lost eight more pounds despite of holiday binging. We reached the goal! Wohoo to my year end fitness update.
I would say, it was slow and steady but the the ultimate goal becomes less onerous and stressful. Remember, rapid and extreme weight loss disrupts our hormones so I’m really good with losing weight slowly.
At this point in time, I learned to look at health in a different way. My goal now is to focus on good health for the rest of my life.
Thank you so much Curves, to all of the wonderful and dedicated coaches. Thank you all for the time you spend perfecting moves, coming up with new things, and being there to inspire, educate, and help me strengthen myself inside and out.
Curves is more than just a place to work out—it’s a community of friendly women who bond over the sweat, laughter, and camaraderie that just naturally blooms each day we all come together. Through your dedication and enjoyment that is apparent during every class, you have turned Curves into a haven and a gym I could not have found anywhere else.
Again, thank you so much my dearest CURVES Family.
