Sweet Repeat: Blogging 101

Posted by Heidi Uy

Hi everyone,

Last February 18, we had a sweet repeat workshop. While I plan to do a series of workshops down the road I have had a request to do another one of these workshops.

Yes, Blogging 101 for the second time.  It was an afternoon of more fun and detailed learning experience about blogging essentials compared to first which was held last October 15 (read here).

This time, our venue is equipped with projector, wireless internet access throughout facilities and great preferred menu options.  It is a great place for a strategy think-tank . Thank you to our venue partner,  Main Street Restaurant

The workshop focused on the following items:

How to choose a blogging platform

How to define your brand, your voice and your message

How to create your editorial plan – a guide in creating the types of blog posts you will publish on a regular basis

The different ways you can make money with your blog and get sponsored

The professional responsibility behind the business of blogging

I love how diverse our group was that afternoon. We had architect, teacher, lovely mom-daughter tandem, businesswoman and young lad from corporate world. There were 10 participants who registered for this event but some were absent.  Thanks ladies for coming and braving the traffic despite the downpour, you were able to make it. Yay!

Congratulations to these ladies who are not afraid to grow, change and simply hone their skills by stretching their wings. You may even fall in love with what you will discover.
